Effects on different files, is it possible?

Is it possible to have effects outside the model? I tried but I noticed that effects does not have an argument for dispatching actions :(

Here is an example:

authentication.model.ts

const auth = createModel<RootModel>()({
  state: INITIAL_STATE,
  reducers: {

  },
  effects: (dispatch) => ({
