I run a local mailrise instance to intercept emails and send them to my other notification services, so I don't use authentication. Reef-pi requires a password on the Telemetry page and it looks like it is only able to run with authentication enabled. Authentication will fail and close the connection so no emails get through.
Maybe this could be resolved by a switch on the frontend for auth type, and when "None" is selected it doesn't pass any auth configuration to the mailer.
