Although it would only be a built-in implementation of tail -F -n +0 file.log | agrind ..., so if you don't want this complexity it would be understandable.

do we get any advantage over just using tail? I'd prefer to keep agrind as a processing engine unless there are concrete benefits.

Thinking about it, I think it would only give more functionality than tail | if combined with online editing. (or if used on platforms without tail).
