This took me a while to figure out and I didn't find help on here so I thought I would post. If this is duplicate info let me know.
The issue was that web sockets could not connect to Vite server. So I could manually reload browser to see changes to app but no hot updates were possible. I made a simple edit to the Quasar config to get it to work.
quasar.config.js
devServer: {
hmr: process.env.GITPOD_WORKSPACE_URL
? {
// removes the protocol and replaces it with the port we're connecting to
host: process.env.GITPOD_WORKSPACE_URL.replace('https://', '9000-'),
protocol: 'wss',
clientPort: 443
}
: true,
open: true // opens browser window automatically
},
For consistency you might want to make sure you are always using the same port in your Gitpod config since the port is now hard-coded in a string in the Quasar config:
