When reopening a file in progress after a while, I always forget where I stopped annotating last time. Therefore, I write it down on a paper but I don't always have the paper with me.

It would be nice to have a way to remember where one stopped annotating last time:

  • somehow automatic, like opening the document at the last annotation (does not guarantee this is the last sentence read), and/or
  • manual, with a button to mark a page

The manual mechanism could actually be generalized, just allowing to bookmark and un-bookmark any sentence - the semantics of the bookmarks can be any, depending on the user. Then, to make it easier to use, the interface would need to include some navigation arrows or a menu like "next/prev/first/last bookmark".
