Code of conduct Contributor covenant

Our engagement

As members, contributors and leaders, we commit to participating in our community a harassment-free experience, whatever the age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sexual characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We are committed to acting and interacting in ways that contribute to a community open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive and healthy.

Our criteria

Examples of behaviors that help create a positive environment:

  • Show empathy and kindness towards others
  • Be respectful of divergent opinions, viewpoints and experiences
  • Give and receive constructive criticism with grace
  • Take responsibility and apologize to those affected by our mistakes and learn from these experiences
  • Focus on what is best not just for us as individuals, but also for the community as a whole

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

  • The use of sexualized language or images and sexual attentions or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments and attacks personal or political
  • Harassment in public or private
  • Publishing private information of others, such as postal address or an email address, without their explicit authorization
  • Any other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Application Responsibilities

Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and equitable corrective action in accordance with response to any behavior that they consider inappropriate, threatening, offensive or harmful.

Community leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit or reject comments, contributions, code, wiki edits, incident or bug reports, and other contributions that are not aligned with this code of conduct, and will communicate the reasons for moderation decisions if applicable.

Application scope

This code of conduct applies both within project spaces and in public spaces when an individual officially represents the project or its community. Examples of representation of a project or a community the use of an official email address, publication on social media using an official account or acting as a designated representative during an online or offline event.

Application

Cases of abusive, harassing or any other behavior Unacceptable behavior may be reported to community leaders responsible for enforcing the code of conduct at [email protected]. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

All community leaders are required to respect the privacy and security of people who reported an incident.

Application Guidelines

Community leaders will follow these community impact application guidelines to determine the consequences of any action that they consider to be contrary to this code of conduct:

1. Fix

Community impact: use of inappropriate language or other judged behavior unprofessional or unwelcome in the community.

Consequence: a written, private warning from community leaders, clarifying the nature of the non-compliance and explaining why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.

2. Warning

Community impact: non-compliance through a single incident or series of actions.

Consequence: A warning with consequences for continuing the behavior. No interaction with data subjects, including unsolicited interaction with those who are responsible for the application of this code of conduct, for a specific period. This includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels like social media. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

3. Temporary ban

Community impact: serious non-compliance with community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior.

Consequence: a temporary ban on all forms of interaction or communications with the community for a specified period. No public interaction or private with data subjects, including unsolicited interactions with those who apply this code of conduct, is authorized during this period. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in permanent banning.

4. Permanent ban

Community impact: demonstrate a recurring pattern of non-compliance with community standards community including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an individual as well as the aggression or denigration of categories of individuals.

Consequence: a permanent ban on all forms of public interactions within the community.
