Checklist

  • I have read the appropriate section in the contributing guidelines
  • I believe this issue is a problem with polybar itself and not a misconfiguration on my part
  • I have searched for other open and closed issues that may have already reported this problem
  • I have checked the known issues page for this problem.
  • I have followed the debugging guide to narrow down the problem to a minimal config.

Steps to reproduce

It's not easy to reproduce. The issue pops up randomly after a few days/weeks of running polybar. And it's not consistent during running either. It can disappear for a few hours, then pop up again.

Tried with and without compositor.

I'm wondering if it has something in common with #3041, but I've never experienced that issue myself with the polybar itself, just cursor issues.

Minimal config
