System Dock Hide/Show Bugs after disabled/enabled system dock in widget #634
Comments
Hi! If you see "Enable System Dock" button in Dock widget preferences, it means that the System Dock is disabled and therefore it won't show up when cursor is hover it. Otherwise, if you see "Disable System Dock" button it means that the System Dock is enabled and it'll show up when the cursor is hover it. |
Hi, @pigigaldi , thanks for the quick following-up. It seems it is affecting my mouse cursor behavior, as the cursor can't move into the edge of the space anymore, as I can still see the tip of the cursor in some spaces, while in a space where I can't see the tip of the cursor the response is snappy. I think it is probably the residual "Cursor Support track area" that is blocking the cursor moving to the edge of the space. Moreover, uninstall the app doesn't seem to have clear off those effects. BTW, I'm using multiple displays |
Please, be sure to have re-enabled System Dock in Dock widget preferences before uninstalling the app. |
Hi @pigigaldi, I think I've done that, although not sure about the first uninstall, but pretty sure I've toggled that a few more times in my 2nd installation. Think it is more like the residual tracking area rather than the Dock widget. Can I check how is the tracking area being registered to the system please? BTW, it would be nice to have some warning regarding the Dock widget preferences upon uninstallation, maybe a good idea to add a process button in the Preferences. |
Describe the bug
Now the system dock wouldn't show up when I move my cursor to the bottom where it is set and hidden - it would simply not show up or become very slow in response. Think this might be related to the cursor support or Dock widget disable/enable system dock feature where certain settings are not properly updated during the toggle.
How to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
When system dock is enabled, it should show up snappily when cursor is over the area.
