Hello there,

We are considering using your library, which seems to be the de facto standard for pdf processing in Go, but we hesitate because of your warning that it is still in Alpha. Is this still correct?

Kind regards,

Hi there,

As soon as pdfcpu is feature complete we move it into Beta.

While the term feature complete is sort of a moving target for a PDF processor that aims to cover
whatever interesting use cases pop up, once the following is implemented we can go Beta:

  • CJKV font support
  • Signature handling
  • Form handling

Since Alpha and Beta are also statements about the overall stability of a project
I think it is a fair claim that pdfcpu is pretty stable with some exceptions that are rooted in the processing of malformed PDFs.

Presumably but without hard evidence there are already more folks out there using pdfcpu in production than one might expect.

As this is a side project unfortunately I cannot give any timeline for the Beta release
but if you or anybody else wants to speed up things please consider becoming a sponsor.
Sponsorship income is directly correlated with time I can spend on spearheading pdfcpu into the future.
The ❤️ Sponsor button is right at the top of the README.

Thank you for using pdfcpu 💚

Will you support RichMedia?

Hello!

This is a very generic question.
Feature requests are always welcome.

Please go ahead and open an issue.
Explain in detail the pdfcpu feature you would like to see possibly including your use case
and we will get back to you.

Thank you for considering pdfcpu 💚
