It'd be great if we could set default options for all scans/uploads, and skip that step each time we go to put a new document in.

For instance, I'd love it if I could configure the app to automatically tag all new docs with inbox and upload, the second I hit the save button. This way, I could process/file them later, using my computer.

When traveling for business, this would really speed up the process of capturing my receipts for expense reporting later on.

That's not a bad idea!

However, I think the backend automatically applies all inbox tags to all new documents being added.

This feature could work on top of this however.

I haven't found a setting anywhere on the server that does it, but will take another look. I just jumped ship from Android back to iOS, and the Android app I was using had implemented pretty much the same idea.

I'm pretty sure if you simply enable "Inbox tag" on any tag that you have, it will automatically assign it to new documents regardless of where they come from. At least that's what happens for me.

Here's a screen shot. Just go to the desired tag.

Ah, yes - you're right. I forgot I had that set, and it does indeed work as intended.

Maybe, then, my feature request is to simply have an option to save new docs without prompting for additional details? Or maybe it's a separate save button that does that (eg. save immediately), while the existing one prompts the user for details?

That way, people could use whichever save button suits their need at the time.

Hmm, I'm not sure I can differentiate this at the share-sheet level, but I can look into it. Another thing that's on my list, but I haven't spent any time on so far is shortcut support. With that, this would presumably also be possible.
