I have loads of documents within my paperless-ngx instance (10G, >2.000 docs). To improve when searching for document I have created different storage pathes: private, insurance, house,...
For insureance I have a single insurance company where I have most of my insurances, but not all.
Now when searching for a special insurance (ie kids health insurance) I can not filter for document type as the documents type ("insurance policy") will be the same for any other insurance. Same applies for corespondent. Same for all.
So I might add tags. But these tags will be only useful for the insurance part, not for the house stuff. So mostly I will have unused tag which do not make it easier to search for.
So how about having tags which are only valid in a specific context of storage pathes? Yes, this will add coding comlexity but will be really helpful when having loads of documents.
Additionally there should be "global tags" as they are now.
Does this makes sense? I can elaborate futher details if you like.
Or do you have another idea how to improve for my use case?
