I don't see why you couldn't run it on a laptop. A general purpose computer is a general purpose computer. Either way should work. |

Hi,
Your project seems fantastic. I don't have a NAS anymore and I don't want to host such important documents on a 3rd party provider.
That's why I'm wondering if there was (or plans of) a way to run Paperless on my laptop reliably (I do run encrypted backups). Like a regular app.
Is the Docker way recommended? Is the database and files stored outside of the container (eg. can easily be backup from the host OS, survive container destruction, etc. ?)
Do you have any recommendations for someone in my situation? Are there trustworthy 3rd party hosting companies? Or is encryption on the roadmap?
Thanks a lot!
