Possibility to set owner in mail rule

This is similar to the feature of having multiple consume folders for different users #2177

When working with mail rules in a multi user setup it would be awesome to also be able to set owners per rule or per mail account, so I do not have to manually sort my ownerless documents via UI.

Great idea, would push the users feature a lot more.

makes it possible to have one mail, [email protected] where all users send their documents and ownership is resolved via filters based on who the mail is sent from.

Do you mean that it is already possible with some kind of filter or that it would then be possible to filter out documents in a user specific manner?

Currently the mail rules also seems to have multi user support.

The user who creates the mail rule, will automatically be the owner of these new documents from the mail rule.
So you have to give your users the permission to create their own mail rules.

I also agree, that it would be better to have a dedicated setting for the document owner in the mail rules.

I already have a mail consumption rule set up in an older version but I cannot find a setting to change the owner, and I cannot even see an indication of the current owner. Will I have to set up a new rule?

Answering my own question: yes, set up a new rule and the user doing that will now be owner of newly ingested documents. However, in the UI (neither Django) you can see or change that apparently. That could be an easy step towards solving the issue at hand.
