I had a user (for example [email protected]) that used Padloc for months.
When he left, I deleted his account.
He came back a few weeks ago, and I sent him an invite. He has the same email address as the old account ([email protected]).
He gets the "Click to join" email.
The system sends him a "validation" email with a 6-digit code. It accepts that.
Then it asks for his old master password (which he doesn't remember).
It never asks for the "confirmation code" that's displayed in the admin interface.
It looks like a lot of stuff gets left around in the database after deleting users.
There's stuff in the following tables related to the user: accounts, accountsprovisioning, auth
Manually deleting those entries and re-inviting him allowed the process to complete.
