Hi there,

I'm reading https://docs.ovh.com/gb/en/dedicated/secondary-dns/ but it doesn't say which IP address to whitelist for AXFR transfers.

I think this documentation should contain a network to whitelist for zone transfers.

Cheers

+1

So far, I'm guessing the A record for sdns2.ovh.net is the IP to allow (?).

Also, some hint about how long one has to wait for the XFR to occur would be nice (as some UI feedback that it did actually occur and GLUE records may then be updated).

EDITED:

  • no need to allow the AAAA (IPv6) address, given OVH Secondary DNS targets one's server IPv4 address
  • watching the logs hints at a several-hours delay between notify and actual transfer ( :-( )

Is anybody from OVH triaging the issues? I has been 9 months...

This is not a hobby project by a guy in his garage. This is the documentation of one of the top hosting company in Europe, to which I give money!
