Need someone to rebuild my repository within the rule mentioned by Hacktoberfest!

  • You can reconsider this REPO to Hacktoberfest to fix up (Excluded Repo Issue)

  • Further, Approve the PRs as the maintainer's rule described in Hacktoberfest

Note: The repo is excluded from Hacktoberfest f you can control the spam and apply the rule of conduct as Hacktoberfest we can request them to reconsider our repo and then we can maintain the quality of the contribution

Thank You So Much, Would love to have someone as a CO-Maintainer!

Hello, can you explain in brief what did you expect to change in your repo?

We need to make the repo as per the HACKTOBERFEST guidelines.

  • They have mentioned the maintainers guidelines we just need to follow them

Protocol list for Maintainers

Note Follow these steps.

  1. Prepare Your Repository: Ensure that your repository is ready to accept contributions from newcomers. Have clear documentation, contribution guidelines, and a code of conduct in place.

  2. Label Issues: Label issues in your repository, especially those suitable for newcomers. Use labels like "Hacktoberfest" or "good first issue" to help contributors find beginner-friendly tasks.

  3. Define Expectations: Clearly define your expectations for contributions in your project's README or contribution guidelines. Explain the process for making contributions, including the steps for creating and submitting PRs.

  4. Monitor Activity: Keep an eye on incoming PRs and issues, especially during Hacktoberfest. Set aside dedicated time for reviewing and responding to contributions.

  5. Review PRs Promptly:Try to review PRs in a timely manner. This encourages contributors and ensures that they have a positive experience.

  6. Provide Constructive Feedback: When reviewing PRs, provide constructive feedback. Be polite and respectful, even if the contribution needs improvements or is not suitable for merging.

  7. Merge PRs Fairly:Evaluate PRs fairly based on their merit and alignment with project goals. Merge PRs that bring value to the project, even if they come from newcomers.

  8. Acknowledge Contributions: Acknowledge and thank contributors for their efforts, regardless of whether their PRs are merged or closed. Recognize their contributions to the open-source community.

  9. Label and Close PRs:Label PRs as "Hacktoberfest" if they meet the event's requirements. Make sure to close PRs that are spammy or do not align with the project's goals.

  10. Communicate Clearly:Maintain open and clear communication with contributors. Address their questions or concerns promptly.

  11. Enforce Code of Conduct:Enforce your project's code of conduct. Be vigilant against any behavior that violates it and take appropriate action when necessary.

  12. Educate Contributors:Help contributors learn about your project's codebase and practices. Guide them toward making meaningful contributions.

  13. Document the Process:Keep your documentation up to date with any changes or improvements to the contribution process. Make it easy for newcomers to understand how to contribute effectively.

  14. Spread Positivity: Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere in your project. Encourage collaboration and inclusivity.
    Stay Informed:

  15. Keep yourself informed about the latest Hacktoberfest rules and guidelines to ensure that you're following the event's requirements.

hii @ossamamehmood and @sharma62 sorry to bring this over here,
but the thing is i too wish to contribute to this repo but not in the same way of giving pic and adding it in some folder and all.....

So I have got a feature to add to this repo and that is adding scroll to top button to the Readme.md file because the readme file of your's is big so if we provide this feature anyway can just click on that button which is available in readme.md file and will get scrolled to the top.

So can i please raise an issue for this and work on it.

We have created a new repository :
https://github.com/ossamamehmood/Hacktoberfest2023

Note: This current repo was excluded due to high volume spam and low-quality contribution. So, we set up a new repo that follows #hacktoberfest guidelines.

Additionally, we acknowledge fair and quality contributions. You must follow Hacktooberfest contribution guidelines to approve your Pull Request!

Special thanks to our maintainer's team who are always trying to improve the quality of Hacktoberfest events from now onwards.
