When reviewing changes, we sometimes want to view the diff from only a subset of the commits in the PR.
This is possible via the
Changes from: all commits
dropdown menu. While is it easy enough to select a single commit, I find the interface for selecting multiple commits very user-unfriendly.
A suggestion for change: checkboxes.
Each commit in the dropdown menu could have an associated checkbox, all boxes are checked by default.
Selecting multiple commits could be done by clicking the checkboxes.
Selecting a range could be done by clicking the checkbox of the first commit, scrolling down, only then hold shift and click the checkbox of the last commit in the desired range, just like in all filesystem browsers.
You would probably need a small additional button that says "view selected" or something, but the small loss of screen space would be well worth it.
