I cant access my codespaces. The error message I keep getting is:
"An unexpected error occurred that requires a reload of this page.
The workbench failed to connect to the server (Error: exception was thrown by handler. exception: failed to start vs code remote server due to low disk space. export your changes and create a new codespace to continue working.)"
I have reloaded a couple of times already to no avail. A few things to note:
the codespaces is a course codespaces created by my professor.
The issues started when I installed a dev container to install nvidia-cuda. When I added the json file in github and when I tried to run it in codespaces to install, I got the message that it would not work because it was low on diskspace. At that time I could still access the other files on codespaces
Two weeks later I cant access/see those files anymore and all I get is the error message above
I was advised by the prof to delete dev.container and reload but the error message still persists.
Help! I am quite new to Github so I would appreciate if any solution is explained as simply as possible! Thanks!
Check for Disk Space: Although you're aware of the disk space issue, it's essential to confirm that it's not causing the problem. If possible, try accessing your Codespaces from a different device or browser to rule out any local issues.
Review Recent Changes: Since the issue started after installing a dev container for Nvidia-CUDA, it's possible that there were other changes made around the same time that could be contributing to the problem. Review any recent changes or configurations to identify potential conflicts or issues.
Verify Codespaces Configuration: Double-check the configuration settings for your Codespaces, especially any configurations related to dev containers. Ensure that they are set up correctly and aligned with the requirements of your course codespaces.
Clear Browser Cache: Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can sometimes resolve unexpected errors. Try clearing your browser cache and reloading the Codespaces page to see if it resolves the issue.
Restart Codespaces: If you haven't already tried, consider restarting your Codespaces instance. Sometimes, a fresh start can resolve connectivity issues and temporary glitches.
Contact GitHub Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to GitHub support for further assistance. Provide them with detailed information about the problem, including the error message and any troubleshooting steps you've already taken. They may be able to provide additional insights or solutions to help resolve the issue.
