There are other solutions, of course, like Vercel, Netlify, etc. However, with GitHub Pages, you're on the right site if you're a front end developer or just want to make your code open. |

originally, GitHub Pages was for documentation, so any developer can have a documentation of his code right there in the repo, but, we have seen several uses of it, including static sites being hosted for different purposes like Profile or content writing, again as for me, the very advantage is that, you have the code in the repo, that you can edit anytime and GitHub will automate the process for you other than that, I've been using GitHub even for distribution of my code to my students and content tutorial, and the ease is that, it's right there on GitHub, even embedding the GitHub Gist for LMS sites are seamless, so again, not only GitHub Pages but too many features you may want to try right there in just one GitHub |
