Description of issue

Homebrew install of Octave 9.1.0_2 crashes - "Octave exited with signal 11" message.
Reportedly, this is a result of qt6 being installed. There reportedly is a fix for this at: [https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/317fa0e5c8de]
if someone could patch it in.

Well, it seems that they are ready for the next release and if it is released, then the brew will automatically bump the version.

You may try to install with the HEAD such as

brew install --head octave

The patch has been applied in the latest build of octave. Do

brew update && brew reinstall octave

to use it.
