Description of issue

I want to use php 8.2. So I installed [email protected] and linked it.
I also want to use composer. So I installed that.

But everytime there is an update for composer. it downloads php 8.3 as a requirement.
This shouldnt happen. And even if so. The php 8.2 that I linked should stay linked

Yes it should, it depends on PHP and that means it depends on the latest PHP. I think brew-php-switcher is a better way for you to pick a prefered PHP version.
