Can instrumentation-nestjs-core trace microservices handlers?

My NestJs backend uses both regular http Rest controllers, but also microservices controller.

my main.ts essentially looks like this :

async function bootstrap() {
  startOpenTelemetry();
  const app = await NestFactory.create<NestExpressApplication>(AppModule);
  ...
  await app.startAllMicroservices();
}

This works great for http routes, but my microservices handlers don't generate any traces whatsoever.
Am I missing something, or is this simply not implemented at all, in which case I'll do it manually!
