I'm thinking of implementing the MaxFileSize option to allow the backups to determine how many files will be needed, but is there a best practice for setting this? I don't necessarily want to specify a value that will generate 64 files for my largest databases. Just wondering if there is a sweet spot (or range) that works best with this option. I will also acknowledge that there is probably a long list of factors that can impact this as well. Just looking for advice on what others might have done that worked for them. Thanks!
