When migrating to another organization, Work Item IDs are changed and the link between git commit and work item ID is broken. |

The system will update the Git commits out of the box. However, the Git repo must be migrated first. If you are changing the name of the Git repo then you need to add a Note: We do not ever edit the Git commit messages! Therefore the git commit message that has a #id to a work item will not work. |

The system will update the Git commits out of the box. However, the Git repo must be migrated first.
If you are changing the name of the Git repo then you need to add a
GitRepoMapping
entry so that the system knows where to look.Note: We do not ever edit the Git commit messages! Therefore the git commit message that has a #id to a work item will not work.
