The step detector from this library is not available in version 1.8.0 . How do I find if a person is running?

There was some critical issue because of which I had to pull 3 detectors down. I believe the wiki still mentions them. I will update them and remove them.
For now, I believe you should just try and find some other lib to work with. There is a new version of sensey in work, but I cannot give you a release date for it.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please watch this repo for the release so that you get notified when a new version is released.

I am also not able to access stepdetector in version 1.9.0
