Preloading HTML Files

To serve an html file, we can open and read the file every time a request comes.

async def index(stream=False, **server):
    with open('index.html', 'rb') as f:
        chunk = True

        while chunk:
            chunk = f.read(16384)

            yield chunk

To reduce reads to disk, we can preload/read html files only when the worker starts.

@app.on_worker_start
async def worker_start(**worker):
    worker_ctx = worker['context']

    with open('index.html', 'rb') as f:
        worker_ctx.index_html = f.read()


@app.route('/')
async def index(**server):
    worker_ctx = server['worker']

    return worker_ctx.index_html
