Steps to reproduce

  1. Use automatic photo upload on iOS
  2. take more pictures than 1E4 (iOS names the files restarting at IMG_0001.heic)

Expected behaviour

The automatic photo upload should continue working for all pics taken, especially the new ones

Actual behaviour

Auto photo upload stops at IMG_0001 and further, probably because the same filename exists on the cloud already (Not an internal problem for iOS).

(posted here first)

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?

The main idea of auto upload is that it works reliably p.e. for backup purposes. The observed behavior is not acceptable here.

Environment data

iOS version: latest

Nextcloud iOS app version: latest

Server operating system:

Web server: Apache, nginx

Database:

PHP version:

Nextcloud version: see Nextcloud admin page

Any ideas anyone? Am I really the only one taking a few pictures from time to time with my iPhone?
