Because ffmpeg doesn't support jxr. |

it probably will support it in the not too distant future.. |
I'll keep an eye on this issue then -- mpv the #1 image viewer lets go! |

So I've noticed MPV supports a ton of SDR and HDR image formats including .avif, but sadly not .JXR
.jxr is used by Windows Gamebar when taking HDR screenshots (win + alt + prntscreen when in HDR mode) and nvidia's overlay.
Being able to open the images in MPV would be amazing.
We have an app that can open those images with basic lut and peak brightness support, but it's outdated and bad to say the least. (HDR WCG Viewer). The Peak brightness is almost always wrong, etc.
If MPV could open .jxr files, it would just become that much better of a tool!
