MFS version 3.0.115-1
FUSE library version: 2.8.3
Problem with mfs client default parameters
When there is a problem with mfsmaster, the server load on the client will be very high.
-o mfstimeout=N define maximum timeout in seconds before I/O error is returned (default: 0 - which means no timeout)
You can see that the parameter mfstimeout defaults to 0; why is it designed this way? Shouldn't it be set to a standard and reasonable value? For example 60
Second question, if the default parameter is set to 60s, when the master becomes unavailable, the client will not hang. Will it automatically retry after the master recovers? What is the automatic retry time?
thanks moosefs team
