I am working on Linux porting of project that currently interact with user .NET dll that we don't want to touch. I used mono to replace MS CLI.
Basic algorithm I use is:
Transfer data (mainly values - int, double and bool) from C++ to C#
invoke C# function
read data from C# to C++
The performance issue is with the stage 1. I use mono_field_set_value() function and it works more than 30 times slower than the same operation on Windows (ManagedClass->someVal = val;).
Any suggestions how to improve performance of my application?
