Please describe your issue with details.
I mistakenly recorded commodity purchases as checking transactions because I wasn't familiar with asset accounts. Later, I discovered the asset account option and attempted to change the account type. However, the account disappeared from the navigation menu after I made the change. Fortunately, I was able to locate it again in the account menu and switch it back to a checking account. Thankfully, the transaction data remained intact throughout this process.

Should such conversion be allowed?
