Bad card number = non-explicit error

Hi!
I just migrated a model from one machine to another. It didn't start with a generic error, and no log file created.
After a long such, I finally discovered that this was due to the fact the config file was set with card number 1, while there is only one card on the new machine. It needed to be set to card number 0.
It would be nice if MMT could return an error giving an explanation about the problem.
