On Apple MacOS 10.15.7 on a computer with a 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 processor:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Browse to https://github.com/micronucleus/micronucleus/releases/tag/v2.6
  2. Download "micronucleus-cli-master-882e7b4a-x86_64-Darwin.zip" and extract
  3. run the "Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64" file named "micronucleus"

Expected results

  1. File is able to be used, or else release notes indicate additional steps required by the end user

Actual result

  1. “micronucleus” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
  • macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.
  • Chrome downloaded this file today at 12:52 from github.com.

Remarks
I think the executable needs to be digitally signed, in order to be usable.
