how to detect slide animation end??

I have a carousel in the center of the screen, and there's a button at the top of the screen. While sliding the carousel left or right, it's possible to accidentally press the button, leading to undesired behavior.

I'd like to enable the button only after the carousel animation has completely finished. Is there a way to catch the completion of this animation?
