Currently the tool is named scrapix, we are not completely convinced by its naming.

We need to decide to a new name, or decide to stick with this one.

Some suggestions may be:

  • meiliisearch-web-indexer
  • meiliisearch-crawler
  • meiliisearch-site-scraper
  • meilisearch-web-content-indexer
  • meilisearch-scraper
  • meilisearch-web-indexer
  • meilisearch-content-indexer

But please, this is just a draft, suggest you own ideas :).

I have an idea: gtihub.com/meilisearch/spider :D I think we don't need to use meilisearch- this time!

After further discussion with @gmourier, the team decided on using trail as the name and @meilisearch/trail as the npm package name.

Per @gmourier explanation:

WDYT of "Trail"?
Like the race, point A (entrance point URL) to point B (an exploitable index); All of that on rugged terrains (different formats of pages, documents, links etc)
It can also make you think of the trail it leaves as it passes over all the links to scrap the content. (edited)
