I encountered a problem similar to that reported in these threads:

bk138/multivnc#133

bk138/multivnc#159

In my case I encountered this with the latest Ubuntu 21.10, using the officially support GNOME Remote Desktop: https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/sharing-desktop.html.en

If I set my screen in Ubuntu to display in portrait mode, then vnsee cannot connect over VNC to Ubuntu. My logs from Ubuntu indicate this may in part be due to vnsee not supporting NewFBSize.
