Describe the bug
After uninstallation of material-shell, the Dock (from configurations / appearance) is not shown any more. It seems material-shell stills there.

Expected behavior
I expected to get back my desktop settings that after uninstallation.

To Reproduce

  • Occurs on:
    • X.Org
    • Wayland
  • GNOME Shell version: 42.9
  • Distro: Ubuntu 22.04.3 with two monitors
  • Steps to reproduce, if applicable:
  1. Install Material Shell from gnome extensions website
  2. Uninstall Material Shell using gnome-extensions disable material-shell@papyelgringo and rm -rf ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/material-shell@papyelgringo
  3. Restart the computer
  4. The desktop remains quite different and without the Dock although in configurations / appearance it is activated
