I'm working through the FAQ (finally) and think that this description will make more sense to non-lawyers/non-corporate folks.

As Ross pointed out, the Kali is aimed more for Series LLC and low-cost high-volume cookie-cutter entity formation. As such there is NO common code of conduct. Instead we can take some pointers from recent efforts to put participation agreements onto the smart contracts direct and have:

  1. Imperfect Code Deference
  2. Qualified Code Deference
  3. Presumptive Code Deference

and have space for humans to add their own rules on top. These are labeled Code optimisd Deference COD and defines the impact of humans on the smart code (void ab initio, voidable, undecideable but forkable) and some suggestions on where can be applied like membership muting, banning or burning.
