Content of last note is not showed on startup when "All notes" is used #10384
Comments
Hi! I can take a look at this but would like to clarify a couple things: A) For scenario 1 do you mean:
B) I cannot reproduce this:
This works whether either of them are marked or not |
Hi Simon! I'll try to clarify... :-) Scenario 1 is working correct showing the latest note edited, but Scenario 2 shows an empty screen with no note selected on startup.
Shouldn't the latest note be shown like it does if a specific notebook is selected?! |
Hi Jorgen, Scenario 2 works on windows but not on linux, you are correct that the latest note (last edited) should be shown on startup, I will look into this. Thanks for clarifying 😄 |
Great!! 😄 Hope you can find this sneaky bug. 🐛 |
Operating system
Linux
Joplin version
3.0.6
Desktop version info
Joplin 3.0.6 (prod, linux)
Sync Version: 3
Profile Version: 47
Keychain Supported: No
Revision: 18b9f5c
Backup: 1.4.1
Current behaviour
Scenario 1:
When a notebook and a notebook is marked, the content of the last edited note is shown on next startup.
EDIT: Just noticed that the note in the top of the list is marked on startup and not the last edited on. Is this correct or should it remember what note was marked?!
Scenario 2:
When "All notes" and a notebook is marked, the last edited note is not selected leading to the content is not shown on next startup.
I guess this is a new bug and not a "feature". Could it be related to the changes in this issue?! #10194
Expected behaviour
Show the content of the last edited note on the right on startup. Don't work when "All notes" is used, since no note is marked.
