Plan for release 0.7.2
#1701
Comments
If there is something that you want to see implemented / fixed in the release that is not already linked from the milestone feel free to mention it here. There is no guarantee that it will happen though. |
Hi Consolatis. It would be really nice to have a window rule that prevents xwayland applications from requesting their own size. This is a daily pain point for me. |
|
Currently you can snap a window to half the screen size by dragging the window to the left or right of the screen, but it would be nice if you could also do that in quarters, so for example drag a window to the bottom right corner of the screen and have it snap to quarter of the screen size in the bottom right, like how kwin does it, I can currently do that with keybindings, but having the ability to do it with the mouse would be a great addition, thanks. Edit: I've just discovered you can have the desired effect I'm talking about when holding down the super key while dragging the window, but can this behaviour be configured without having to use the super key? |
You can use regions for that and use the mouse + some keyboard modifier to do the actual snapping rather than using a keybind. |
Created an issue: #1758 |
It would be handy to have the option not to maximize or tile a window when dragging it to the top of the screen, currently you have to be very precise with your mouse otherwise it will trigger the window to maximize when you just wanted to drag it to the top of the screen. |
We already do with snapping/rango |
I've played around with the snapping range but it doesn't give the desired outcome, setting it to zero disables snapping on all edges, but I would like to disable it just for the top of the screen while still maintaining it on the left and right of the screen. |
That's what |
That just changes the behaviour from maximizing to horizontal tiling or snapping, I was after no action at all when dragging to the top of the screen. |
Suggest opening a new issue for that. |
Congrats for new release!!!! |
