Why live wallpaper is much slower than normal viewing? #618

Suppose I use this gif:

Here's how well it works on live wallpaper, vs on Activity:

How come?
I've tested other solutions of showing GIF/WEBP animation, and they also had the same issue.

BTW, I think some of the code of the live wallpaper isn't needed.
It seems that "mainJob" isn't needed, and so does "onSurfaceCreated" .
