Ability to stash/retrieve data in a pam login session

We have some different requirements and use cases where it would be useful to have access to data from the initial pam login (such as from ssh) when we go to use sudo or gdm unlocking a screen.

Systemd has it's login slice concept, but it's unclear if we can use this. Alternately we will need some other mechanism.
