Venice's :pdf module provides functions to create PDF files. It is based on the Flying Saucer library.
Flying Saucer is a pure-Java library for rendering XHTML using CSS 2.1 for layout and formatting with output to PDF.

Note: Use Venice 1.10.35+ or newer to have all features demonstrated here available.

Other fonts have to be made explicitly available to the renderer. The PDF renderer supports any number of additional True-Type fonts. These fonts can be embedded into the PDF to be available on all client platforms regardless whether the font is locally installed or not.
The PDF renderer loads custom True-Type fonts from URIs. The custom
schema classpath: allows the renderer to load the font files from
