Items synced as played via trakt do not clear from 'Next Up' Section

This could be more of a Jellyfin Core problem, but it seems like episodes that get marked as played through the plugin do not get cleared from the 'Next Up' track at the top of a home page. I can't find anything about 'refreshing' the Next Up section and clearing out errant episodes that have already been marked as played, which is why I suspect it may be more on jellyfin core, as opposed to the plugin.

Jellyfin is on the Beta 10.8.0, inside a docker container on linux

Plugin is on 18.0.0.0
