Local port forwarding for Ssh seems not supported

Hello,

I might overlook it, but it seems that local port forwarding for ssh is not supported. I want to set up an ssh tunnel through the library and for that I would need the local port forwarding feature from ssh (the '-L' option). Is it intentional or just not (yet) implemented? If it's just not implemented I could try my hand at adding it if I find a few hours.
