Currently I am building several different types of iPXE EFI binaries, adding in various combinations of USB and Native drivers allong with SNP and SNPOnly.
# SNP with USB + Drivers
make bin-x86_64-efi-sb/snp--ecm--acm--ncm--bnx2--bnxt--tg3--intel--intelxl--ice--vmxnet3--netfront.efi
# SNP with USB
make bin-x86_64-efi-sb/snp--ecm--acm--ncm.efi
# SNPOnly with USB + drivers
make bin-x86_64-efi-sb/snponly--ecm--acm--ncm--bnx2--bnxt--tg3--intel--intelxl--ice--vmxnet3--netfront.efi
# SNPOnly with USB
make bin-x86_64-efi-sb/snponly--ecm--acm--ncm.efi
#Signed version of SNPOnly
make bin-x86_64-efi-sb/snponly.efi
I am aware that adding in SNPOnly will force iPXE to only allow that device to be enumerated and configured when in the full iPXE environment.
Question: Is there any advantage for adding in the USB ecm--acm--ncm drivers and/or native drivers bnx2--bnxt--tg3--intel--intelxl--ice--vmxnet3--netfront in a image with SNPOnly? From what I can see, it isn't intresting, since the SNPOnly binary will only use the SNP driver for only the boot device, no need to add other drivers.
