I recently set Immich up for the first time and it's going great - thanks for making it! However, I imported my existing photos directory as an external library without understanding how raw files would be treated, and so for my photos with raws and jpegs it's like there are two versions of every photo. I don't need Immich to manage my raw files, so I'd like to remove them from Immich, but not from disk. Is there a simple way to do this? I think I can do something like:
But I would prefer to avoid that if there's something simpler. I have added an exclusion pattern now, but I assume that only works for future imports. I also saw #2479, and while I would be happy to use stacked photos if they were automatic, I'm also just as happy to not have raws in Immich at all. |

Ah, nevermind - the exclusion patterns did The Right Thing. After adding an exclusion pattern and scanning the library for new files, the raw files showed up as "offline". By clicking "remove offline files" and then scanning changed files in the library, raws were removed and jpegs were unmodified. So that's great. Hopefully this thread will at least help anyone else like me who wasn't sure how that worked. |
