I have documented the problem in this Stackoverflow question: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/47068594/why-is-ficus-throwing-an-exception-when-i-try-to-add-a-new-field-in-my-case-clas .

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Ok. I solved the problem, and I think I understood why it is happening. I'm still surprised by this behaviour, though. You might want to have a look on the question and answer in the stackoverflow link above.
