Currently, there are normal stress components in cylindrical coordinate system in MOOSE. However, certain engineering analyses for piping in nuclear applications require the inclusion of cylindrical shear stress components.
Design
The code leverages predefined methods that are readily available in MOOSE to transform stresses from Cartesian coordinate system to the shear stresses in cylindrical coordinate system.
Impact
The enhancement introduces additional features without changing the existing APIs.
