We are excited to announce the release of iTwin.js 4.0!
A new major release of iTwin.js affords us the opportunity to update our requirements to continue to provide modern, secure, and rich libraries. Please visit our Supported Platforms documentation for a full breakdown. This release represents a significant milestone for iTwin.js, including improved stability of our APIs and much more, enabling you to build robust and capable digital twin solutions today.
Goals of the release
We had some high-level objectives guiding the changes made during this release enabling us to provide a strong foundation for the exciting features to come in this 4.x generation.
Improve the stability of our core APIs around Web and Desktop visualization.
Clean up some of our current APIs and promote others to a public release tag in accordance with our newly announced Support Policy.
Update minimum supported versions of Node.js, Electron, glibc, iOS and Android for security
Deliver ES2021
Break packages out of lockstep with iTwin.js - Core to move independently and faster
